snow days!

Beth Ferguson, January 10, 2011

“The grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.”  ~~ Joseph Addison

PJ’s inside out and backwards … check!
Ice cubes flushed down the toilet … check!
Sweet prayers sent heavenward … check!

I’m grateful for snow days!  There is a little kid still within my heart that gets all excited about the possibility of a day off from school … that snow might disrupt work as usual.  Today was that day!

Today I’m grateful for a change in routine, for work I can do at home, for time to play.  My sweet neighbors came over to build a tiny snowman for me … complete with carrot nose and berries for eyes – I’m thankful for bundled up youth, their energy, the delight that shines forth from their eyes!

Thank you, God, for snow, children, surprises, for changes in routine!
