Connecting life, scripture, and poetry

all the time in the world

Beth Ferguson, June 13, 2009

I’ve been thinking abou time lately … God’s own time.

  • When the time was right, God sent his son …
  • Don’t waste time on useless work …
  • At the right time we will harvest a good crop …
  • Say “Yes!” to God … he’ll be there in no time …

In a Whittier poem, he wrote, “Knowing God’s own time is best, / In a patient hope I rest / For the full day-breaking!”

Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus ~ Ephesians 2:7

Reverence, Awe, Great Glory to the “King of All Time!”

It’s interesting that we can get so caught up with the concept of time. God’s timing is perfect and if we rest in Him, we can be assured that everything will happen within that perfect timing.
