His Quietness & Rest

Beth Ferguson, October 14, 2022October 14, 2022

I ran across this sonnet tonight as I pondered the rest that is mine in Christ. The poem reminds me that words are not needed between my Savior and me. When I practice living in His presence, His calmness, joy, and peace will consume me. I will be enveloped in His quietness.

Poem by F. Havergal about the rest that is ours in Christ.

The LORD your God is with you,
He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with his love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.

Zephaniah 3:17

May I be joyfully consumed tonight in quietness and rest …
