comrades who travel together

Webster says about “manage” … “to have under control and direction; to conduct; to guide; to administer; to treat; to handle.”   And to “trust” according to Webster is … “to rely upon or place confidence in someone or something”

The two … manage … trust … seem to be opposites … but both have a place in our spiritual lives.

Manage <<>> Trust
     Opposites
     Is it about balance?
Can only one be right?
The journey
           Both <<>> And
     Comrades who travel together
Two sides of one coin
      Dual personalities
The twisted cord
              …. strenth in the binding
      Perspective <<>> Balance
Manage <<>> Trust

“To launch your ship into deep waters takes confidence in your own abilities to manage whatever comes and trust in a God who has promised to provide along the way.”  ~ author unknown

I love this verse in Philippians where we are encouraged to do our part in working out our salvation –  all the while realizing it is God who prompts our “will” to do our part!

“… continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose” ~ Philippians 2:12-13

I can only “manage” life as I “trust” him …
