Connecting life, scripture, and poetry

abundance

Beth Ferguson, November 18, 2012November 12, 2020

Yesterday a trunk of groceries in preparation for Thanksgiving.  Today a typical Sunday dinner – pot roast, potatoes, carrots, asparagus … and birthday cake.  This evening, dinner with our church family – buffet of delicious food overflowing.  Tomorrow, the benefit of leftovers!  I am very grateful today for the blessings of abundance.

You crown the year with your bounty,
    and your carts overflow with abundance.
 The grasslands of the desert overflow;
    the hills are clothed with gladness.  Psalm 65:11-12
