In Stillness the Dancing

Connecting life, scripture, and poetry

a right-ness not of our own making

Beth Ferguson, June 16, 2009

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

Follow instructions.
Simple kindergarten rule …
Do what you are told.
Why must it be difficult?

To imperfections, mistakes
Rebellion we’re prone.

Justice declared! Penalty deserved …
Is that not what’s fair?
But then enters grace so astounding …
Forgiveness, restoration …
A right-ness not of our own making –

Gratitude welling up overflows!
Our hearts cry,
“Merciful God, thank you!”
