Connecting life, scripture, and poetry

Published Articles

This page gathers my published articles, devotionals, and reflections on faith and discipleship. Each piece explores biblical truth in practical, devotional ways. My hope is that these writings serve as companions on your journey of following Christ.

May I Pray for You Now

In “May I Pray For You Now?”, I reflect on the power of praying for others in the moment rather than later. Encouraged by a friend, I share how writing short, Scripture-based prayers helps me intercede for others simply and sincerely. The article invites readers to pause, pray for someone right now, and see written prayer as a way to express God’s love and presence.

Wrinkles That Testify

In the article “Wrinkles That Testify,” I reflect on aging not as a decline to be avoided but as a meaningful season of discipleship. Drawing on Psalm 71, I suggest that the later years of life offer unique opportunities to celebrate God’s faithfulness, mentor younger believers, and bear witness to Christ through our vulnerabilities and stories. Our “wrinkles” and gray hairs become credentials of grace rather than marks of irrelevance.

God’s Threefold Call – “Come to Me”

In the article “God’s Threefold Call: “Come to Me”,” I explore three invitations from God: come for forgiveness, come for rest and relationship, and come for discipleship and mission. They are layered – not separate, not a one-time event. Instead they are a continual rhythm we live out daily—a call to draw near, be changed, and go out.

Straw and Starlight

In the blog post, Straw and Starlight, I reflect on the contrast between joy and ache in the Christian life during Advent, using the carol “What Child Is This” as a lens. I had a personal moment of unrest and longing — juggling everyday busyness while feeling a deep ache — and found solace in the image of Christ as both king and infant: majestic yet humble, divine yet wrapped in cloth. Ultimately, our invitation is to bring our tensions — our hopes and doubts, grief and gratitude — into God’s presence, trusting that He holds the contradictions with grace.
